ISL 2017-18: Delhi Dynamos sign India U-17 World Cup probable Shubham Sarangi

Sarangi becomes second player to be roped in by Delhi Dynamos in the January transfer window.

Indian Super League (ISL) outfit attained the services of midfielder Shubham Sarangi on Saturday evening. Sarangi becomes the second signing of the club in the January transfer window after Spanish goalkeeper Xabi Irureta put pen to paper for the Miguel Angel Portugal-coached side.

Sarangi was part of the Indian probables squad for the FIFA U-17 World Cup held in October last year. The youngster rose to fame following his impressive performance in the BRICS Cup, 2016 AFC Qualifiers, Granatkin Cup and the Four Nations tournament in Mexico.

Delighted to be associated with the capital-based team, Sarangi commented, ‘’I am happy to have completed my move to Delhi Dynamos. Being from the capital, it is great to be a part of the club that has become symbolic to football in Delhi in recent years and I can’t wait to put that jersey on and give my 100% for the club and take it to new heights.’’

Delhi Dynamos are currently placed at the bottom of the league standings and will face Chennaiyin FC in an away fixture on January 7.
