The former Thika United player is now being linked with a move to the Algerian club, just a week after it emerged that Black Leopards of South Africa, were also interested for his services.
A source close to the player has confirmed to Goal that Gor Mahia will receive Sh8million should the transfer sails through. “The Algerian club is willing to pay Sh8m if both parties agree for the player to switch clubs.”
Gor Mahia are also in the process of losing striker Jacques Tuyisenge to either Mamelodi Sundowns of South Africa or TP Mazembe of Congo. The players’ agent, Jean Karekezi exclusively told Goal.com on Saturday that the transfer could be sealed before the end of next week.
“I think he (Tuyisenge) has outgrown playing in KPL right now. He’s the best striker in Kenya currently and he should move to another league to prove that he’s among the top players in the continent.
“We already have two offers in South Africa and Congo and we will have to settle for one, possibly by the end of next week. If big teams like TP Mazembe and Sundowns want you, you have got to listen to them.”
Gor Mahia are set to host Nyasa Big Bullets in a Caf Champions League match on November 28 but if the deal goes through, then this could be the last time that K’Ogalo fans will have a chance to watch the club’s top scorer.
