Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr: Ephraim Guikan is fit to face SuperSport United

Gor Mahia coach Dylan Kerr has allayed fears that striker Ephraim Guikan will miss their match against SuperSport United.

The Ivorian striker featured for K’Ogalo during their mid-week victory against Wazito FC but was seen limping towards the end of the match.

However, coach Kerr is confident that the striker will make the trip to Pretoria for the return leg of Caf Confederation Cup against the South African side.

“Guikan is fit and ready to play,” Kerr told Goal on Saturday.

Gor Mahia will carry a 1-0 advantage to the return leg and coach Kerr has said they will use the defeat to Esperance of Tunisia in Caf Champions League to down the home side.

“We have done our best since the Esperance match in Tunis; that was a great display considering the resources and everything that that club (Esperance) has.

“My players have shown good attitude after losing the match and we carry that positive attitude to Pretoria.”

The team is set to leave Nairobi for Pretoria on Sunday and has scheduled a light training session at Pretoria University on Monday.
