And this week FIFA are offering you the chance to relive it all with the launch of FIFA Rewind – a ground-breaking mobile and social first series, which will bring a selection of the greatest games in World Cup history right up into the 21st century.
Fans have voted for the games they want to re-live from 1982 to 2014, and we begin with that famous clash between Italy and Brazil in Barcelona.

Their expansive, joyful approach to the game under Tele Santana captured the hearts of the watching world in a way perhaps unrivalled by anyone other than Pele-led compatriots 12 years previously.
The Selecao were strong favourites to take the crown, but the came unstuck against a dogged, resolute and tactically-brilliant Italy side – who found one of the great World Cup performances from Juventus star Paolo Rossi.
