FIFA Rankings: India's position remains unchanged

The latest update in the FIFA rankings has seen no change in the position of Stephen Constantine's men...

The Indian national team continued to maintain its 97th rank in the world in the latest FIFA rankings released on Thursday.

The Blue Tigers were last in action in a friendly against China PR that ended in a goalless affair on October 13, 2018.

India have another international friendly lined up on November 17th away to Jordan who have dropped two spots to 112 following their 2-1 defeat against World Cup runners-up Croatia in October.

Stephen Constantine and Co. are preparing for the 2019 AFC (Asian Football Confederation) Asian Cup that will be held in UAE in January. They are placed in Group A alongside UAE, Bahrain and Thailand. UAE have had the biggest drop of four places among the trio to be now ranked 81 while Bahrain (113) and Thailand (112) moved down a spot each.

Meanwhile, Belgium lead the overall rankings ahead of World Cup champions France. Brazil are third, followed by Croatia while England have climbed up a place to occupy the fifth spot.
