The Indonesian was in fine form against PS TIRA...

Persib's Patrich Wanggai has been chosen as last week's Fans' Asian Player of the Week, following his impressive performance in his team's 3-2 win over PS TIRA in the Indonesian Liga 1.

The star of the show for Persib was their 30-year-old forward Patrich Wanggai, who drove the team forward with a brilliant brace.

He was also named Goal's Asian Player of the Week.

The home side took the lead just before half-time through an own goal and it seemed as if Persib would have a woeful day. But up stepped Patrich Wanggai with a brace that propelled his team to all three points.

He showed brilliant ball control before dispatching off a superb volley to equalise in first-half injury time. He then put Persib 2-1 up in the 83rd minute with a left-footed finish off Jonathan Baumann's cross.

Also in the fray for the honour was Persela Lamongan's Dendy Sulistyawan who was also impressive in his side's win.

But the fans made their voice count as Wanggai received a whopping majority of the votes.
