South Africa's national football team captain Thulani Hlatshwayo has added to the chorus of players and coaches urging supporters to get behind them.
Bafana Bafana hosts Nigeria in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Saturday. Hlatshwayo wants the fans to 'show some love' this time, unlike the poor attendance against Seychelles in their previous Afcon qualifier in South Africa.
Meanwhile the squad trained in hot conditions and team SA doctor, Dr Thulani Ngwenya spoke about their shape.
Goalkeeper Ronwen Williams will be monitored for the next two days but Ngwenya said the keeper’s injury was a minor setback.
Thulani Serero arrived in camp on Monday carrying a slight injury, and trained on his own but will join the rest of the team on Tuesday. Defender Thamsanqa Mkhize was also rested.
“Otherwise there are no new injuries and I must say the day (Monday) began very well,” said Ngwenya.
