Cape Town City unveiled former Mamelodi Sundowns and Bafana Bafana midfielder Teko Modise as their latest signing on Wednesday morning. 

The 33-year-old had a remarkable career with the Brazilians over the past six-and-a-half seasons, but after failing to agree terms on a new deal, Modise decided to move on. 

He joins the Citizens on a free transfer, ending speculation that he could be return to Soweto to play for either Orlando Pirates or Kaizer Chiefs. 

But are the fans happy with the move? Here's how Twitter reacted soon after the news broke.

With Modise now on board, some fans expect City to be stronger next season. 

Modise has been handed the number 13 shirt at Cape Town City, the club confirmed.
