EXTRA TIME: South Africa reacts to Egypt losing and Senegal winning at World Cup
Firstly, we witnessed the first victory for an African nation as Senegal beat Poland 2-1 in Group H. This came after Japan upset Colombia 2-1 and will make for an interesting, wide open group.
Check out how South Africans celebrated the victory for Senegal, including some videos at the stadium. There's also a Twitter argument between former Orlando Pirates player Lennox Bacela and former Tottenham chairman Lord Sugar about how the latter described the Senegal players.
After that Egypt lost 3-1 to hosts Russia, despite Mohamed Salah scoring from the penalty spot. Here's also how South African's reacted to that game, and you can see how local coach Farouk Khan was impressed by Japan too.
If Senegal is more clinical in their transition to attack, they will most likely get a goal from it.. Come on Senegal #WorldCup #PolSen

Fantastic effort by Senegal. Absolutely fantastic. Just continuing from where they left off in 2002.

Striking too that the captain of that side Aliou Cisse is the boss with the Tony Sylva and and Omar Daf among his staff.#WorldCup #3Sports pic.twitter.com/wmYRkQF4Ca

All the BIG names walk out as captains of their teams.

Ronaldo
Messi
Hazard
Ramos
Marcelo
Lewandowski
Modric
Kane
Mane
......
but not Mo Salah . The player that everyone expects to perform like the leader. Interesting #WorldCup
Egypt played well going fwd, but should've started with Amr Warda, and then Mo Salah central. The Pharaoh's defending was poor, unlucky for the own goal but it was difficult against a pumped up Russian team with the stadium and whole home nation behind them #RUS #WorldCup #EGY

Spain lost their opening game in the 2010 FIFA World Cup but they won the tournament. It is not about how you start but how you pick yourself up and make progress is what matters most.#WorldCup

Just been reading the reaction to my funny tweet about the guy on the beach in Marbella . Seems it has been interpreted in the wrong way as offensive by a few people . Frankly I cant see that I think it's funny. But I will pull it down if you insist .
