EXTRA TIME: Social media mourns Ntuthuko Radebe's tragic death

Radebe was supposed to return to Belgium on Tuesday for pre-season. Here's how Twitter reacted to his sudden death

KAS Eupen and South African defender Ntuthuko Radebe passed away in a tragic car accident in Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal in the early hours of Tuesday.

Radebe, a 22-year-old defender, moved to Belgium as a teenager in 2012, and he helped Eupen into the top-flight football during the 2016/17 season.

He graduated from the Aspire Academy in Qatar along with former Kaizer Chiefs and Eupen winger Phakamani Mngadi and Happy Simelela‚ who was most recently playing in Armenia.

Radebe represented South Africa at Under-17 level, but he was unfortunate to miss out of the 2016 Olympic squad.

Here's how Twitter reacted to the sad news of his sudden death.

Our heartfelt condolences to Radebe's family, teammates and family from Goal South Africa.
