K’Ogalo won the first leg at home by a solitary goal, lost the second leg 2-1 but progressed thanks to the away goal rule. Head coach Dylan Kerr has praised his charges following that exceptional away display, despite several heart breaking factors.
“As a coach definitely I am happy and proud to have helped the team progress. But it was not my own doing, mine was just to guide, the players gave absolutely everything on the pitch the played with all their hearts and managed to get the win.
“It is a plus to us, as well as Kenya football at large, we can do better and go places,” Kerr told Goal.
SuperSport United reached last year's final but fell to TP Mazembe of Congo. The draw for the Group stages will be conducted on Saturday at Caf headquarters in Cairo.
