The Still Believe lads have gone three games without a defeat yet their manager is not focusing on winning the title

Dreams FC coach Karim Zito has reiterated that he is not aiming at the 2017-18 Ghana Premier League title despite an enviable start to the campaign.

The Dawu-based club picked their second win of the campaign after pipping Wa All Stars 1-0 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Wednesday thanks to Zuberu Sharani's early goal.

They currently sit second behind Ashanti Gold and are without a defeat.

"I said initially that the objective of the club is to place in a respectable position after the season in order to avoid relegation and not winning the league. And to do that we have to amass enough points just like we have started,” Zito said.

"The main ambition is survival but if at the latter stages of the season we have the opportunity to challenge the title, we will do so.

"Our excellent performance is as a result of hard work and sense of discipline on the field of play. When your players listen to you things will definitely go well for you because they want to prove a point," he added.

Sharani, who now has two goals to his name so far this term, was adjudged the best performer in the game. He is already eyeing the topscorer accolade.

"We deserved the victory since we played better but I have to do more than this in subsequent games. I want to even win the goal king award at the end of the season," he said.

Dreams will play giants Hearts of Oak who are without a win at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Sunday.
