Chelsea vs Man City: TV channel, live stream, team news & preview

Manchester City will be eager to maintain their lead at the top of the Premier League table when they travel to Chelsea on Saturday, with just two points separating themselves and second-placed Liverpool heading into the weekend.

Pep Guardiola's side remain unbeaten all season and have won their last seven consecutive Premier League games, while Chelsea will be eager to bounce back from a disappointing 2-1 away loss to Wolves in the midweek.

Though a crunch clash, both sides will need to look ahead to the congested fixture list that makes up the majority of December, with both managers keen to name a starting XI close to their first-choice as possible while also keeping in mind player fatigue.

Chelsea's away loss to Wolves sent them down to fourth place in the Premier League table and 10 points behind the league leaders, and level on 31 points with Arsenal.

After an initially overwhelmingly bright start to the season under new manager Sarri, Chelsea saw their unbeaten run in all competitions come to an end after falling to a 3-1 at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur in late November.

A 2-0 win over local rivals Fulham was met with an agonising 2-1 defeat at Wolves, and Sarri's side will need to take points off Man City if they want to remain in the running for a top-four finish – as Tottenham currently sit two points above them in third place.

While Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are all involved in the battle for fourth place, Man City's main competitor in this season's title challenge is Liverpool, the only other Premier League side to yet taste defeat all season.

The Reds currently sit just two points behind Man City, and should they manage a win at Bournemouth on Saturday and Chelsea register victory over Man City, Liverpool will claim first place in the league.

Guardiola has a selection headache to deal with the likes of Aguero and De Bruyne remaining unavailable, and has the option of starting either Gabriel Jesus or Leroy Sane up front – though the Brazilian's inconsistent and poor form may see him start on the bench.

Raheem Sterling is expected to return to the XI after being rested in the 2-1 win against Watford, while Riyad Mahrez is also an attacking option.
