CHAN invite thrills Gombe United’s Oladapo

The Desert Scorpions’ forward has expressed his delight at his invitation to camp for the tourney

Gombe United striker, Austin Oladapo reveals that emotion got the better of him after news broke that he made the 30-man list for Nigeria's 2018 African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifiers.

Oladapo has scored six league goals to gradually ease the Desert Scorpions off the relegation zone.

And the former FC IfeanyiUbah marksman recounts how he felt when he spotted his name on the list.

“It is a dream come true for me. I was over the moon when I saw my name on the list. I have never doubted my ability and I am happy that my work since the beginning of the season has been noticed. I will go to the camp and show the coaches the stuff I am made of. I want to make a good impression of my call up,” Oladapo told Goal.

“The coach has invited players he feels will better actualize his tactics and I am going to camp to contribute my quota in order to ensure that domestic league players are giving their pride of place.”
