Cesare Prandelli is rumoured to be close to Emirati club Al-Nasr, after Dan Petrescu was sacked due to bad results.

Prandelli has coached a number of clubs in Italy, as well as the Italian national side before joining Valencia.

Hameed Al-Tayer, head of Al-Nassr Corp. spoke to the press: “We’re close to signing Prandelli, he’ll be here by next week to finalise the contract and we’ll celebrate him shortly afterwards.”

Al-Nassr had lost by a huge margin to Al-Wahda, 3-0, in the President's Cup final on Friday which prompted the club to replace Petrescu with Prandelli.

Prandelli coached Valencia in 2016, before abruptly leaving his post 3 months in. The Italian tactician also masterminded Italy's run to the Euro 2012 final.
