Former West Ham midfielder Steve Lomas has tipped David Moyes for a successful spell as Hammers boss.
Moyes was named Slaven Bilic's successor on Tuesday, after the Croatian was let go with West Ham sitting 18th in the Premier League table

Lomas, who played for West Ham between 1997 and 2005, thinks the Scot is well positioned to succeed with the club.
"David is a vastly experienced manager," Lomas told Sky Sports. "He's a brave manager, he took the hardest job in football in following Sir Alex Ferguson [at Manchester United].

"He knows the league and if he can doing close to the job he did at Everton, it'll be a great signing.
"There is a better squad to work with [compared to Sunderland]. Ultimately it's about getting those players gelled, motivated.
Moyes had big success at Everton before struggling at his subsequent jobs with Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland, who he left at the end of last season following the club's relegation from the Premier League.

“I think for me the main problem at the moment at West Ham is they spent a lot of money for a marquee signing in the summer, in Marko Arnautovic. He’s not turned up,” Le Tissier said on Sky Sports.
Arnautovic was signed in the off-season for a club-record £20 million fee, but has yet to open his West Ham account.
“If you get Marko Arnautovic’s head right and get him playing consistently, he can be a big difference in that football team to the amount of points West Ham can accumulate this season," Le Tissier said.
Moyes will make his debut with the Hammers against Watford on November 19.
