Simba’s skipper, John Bocco has revealed that the current results of their arch rivals Yanga have given them confidence in what looks like what could be an easy finale to the clubs run to a first Ligi Kuu title in five seasons.
The defending champions were held to a 1-1 draw at home with Singida United on Wednesday while Simba beat Mbeya City 3-1 the following day to extend the lead to eight points at the top of the table.
Speaking to Goal, Bocco said that they will use this opportunity to win their remaining matches in order to win the title this season.
“It's a good thing for us, because Young Africans is our biggest rival to the title race, so if they lose the game or draw its good for us. The important thing is to make sure we play hard and win all our remaining matches,” said Bocco.
