Boakye rescues point for Jiangsu Suning in China

The striker has made it two goals in three appearances in the Chinese Super League

Ghana striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom proved his worth once more when he snatched a late equalizer for new club Jiangsu Suning in the Chinese Super League on Friday.

Suning were stunned after five minutes from kick off by host team Tianjin Quanjian through Wang Yongpo at the Haihe Educational Football Stadium.

Boakye, who joined the outfit from Serbian club Crvena Zvezda last January, came close to grabbing the leveller by the 38th minute but his effort was saved by goalkeeper Zhang Lu.

Brazilian Alex Teixeira wasted a beautiful effort for Suning early in the second-half.

With six minutes left, Boakye connected a long pass from Tian Yinong and made no mistake this time to hit the back net to help the visitors share the spoils.

The Ghanaian netted on his debut as Suning defeated Tianjin TEDA 2-1 a fortnight ago but shot blank in their 2-0 victory against Guangzhou R&F last week.
