Blow for AFC Leopards as midfielder Marvin Nabwire set to miss Gor Mahia clash

AFC Leopards will take on rivals Gor Mahia minus a key player on Saturday.

Marvin Nabwire has confirmed on his official twitter account that he will miss the derby after picking an injury while in training.

Meanwhile, Ingwe coach Rodolfo Zapata says they will have to give their 100% against the Kenyan champions and prove that they are the best team in the country.

The defending champions defeated the Argentine's side 2-1 in the first leg, and they will need a draw or win to seal their 17th league crown. Zapata says he has faith in his charges, and that he hopes everything will go as planned.

“I usually say this team is one of the biggest in not only Kenya but Africa at large. Against Gor Mahia, we have to show character, we have to push ourselves to the maximum and show we are better. This is a game I believe we can win, we have had an amazing run and confidence is good.

“The determination is there, we lost the first leg and we believe we can do much better and get a positive outcome,” Zapata told Goal.

Ingwe have won five league matches in a row, but their last win against Gor Mahia was way back in 2016.
