Betting Preview: Valencia v Real Madrid: Back Los Blancos for victory at the Mestalla

Valencia entertain Real Madrid at the Mestalla for their Spanish Primera Division clash on Saturday.

Zinedine Zidane paid dearly for leaving out Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale in their clash with their neighbours, Leganes on Wednesday as they were dumped out of the Copa del Rey on away goals after they succumbed to a 2-1 defeat.

Los Blancos are no longer in strong contention for the La Liga title as they are 19 points adrift of leaders Barcelona and any further loss would pile more pressure on the team and Zidane could kiss his plump job goodbye.

Given that the team know what is at stake here, punters can back them at odds of (1.61) to come out on top against Marcelino Garcia Toral’s men with Bet365, having won 16 of their previous 27 meetings.

The reverse fixture ended in a 2-2 draw back in August and the same betting firm has quoted (4.33) for the game to end in a no-winner, no-vanquish outcome.

Meanwhile, Valencia will be hoping to turn the table against their visitors having forced them to draw in their previous meetings at Santiago Bernabeu.

They have been in excellent form on home soil lately after three straight wins. However, they lost their last game against Las Palmas and will have to be at their best not to suffer their second consecutive loss as the bookmakers have tagged them as underdogs for this duel at the price of (5.00).

Though the reigning European champions have been shaky at home, they have not tasted defeat in their last seven games outside their turf and bookies offer (1.18) for them to avoid defeat in the tie.

Both sides have scored in their previous five meetings and are odds on at (1.40) to do likewise at the Mestalla with Bet365.
