Rupia, who has emerged as one of the most sought after strikers in Kenya this season, is currently on the radar of Ingwe.
Though Rupia played down the talks on Tuesday when he confirmed that his future is at Nzoia Sugar, Goal understands that the free-scoring striker could move if a reasonable offer is tabled.
Ingwe Patron Johnson Sakaja is said to have held talks with the striker, who has scored 12 league goals so far this season.
“We met with the player and his representatives last night. We are trying to strike a deal with him but nothing has been confirmed yet. I have told the NEC to find the best players because there is money to bring quality players,” Sakaja told Goal.
Goal also understands that Ingwe are salivating for the signature of Wazito striker Pistone Mutamba.
Mutamba is seen as a potential replacement for Rupia should Ingwe fail to convince him to cross camp in June.
