AFC Leopards have pointed the lame finger at the poor playing surface at the Mbaraki stadium to their shock defeat at the hand of Bandari.

The 12-time league champions lost their second match in four outings against the Dockers maximum points, that sent them to fourth on the log.

"We lost the match yes, but we were not allowed to play our game.

"The pitch was not well maintained and for a team like Leopards who like to possess the ball, it makes it difficult. In the end, our defensive lapses cost us, and that is how we lost.

"We are working on our form, we need to bounce back and I believe it will happen sooner."
