AFC Leopards coach Stewart Hall has confirmed that his side will face Gor Mahia with confidence

The wait for the much-talked about ‘Mashemeji’ derby pitting Gor Mahia against AFC Leopards is almost over.

It will be the 83rd edition of the local derby and the first one for AFC Leopards head coach Stewart Hall. The Englishman has guided Ingwe to a hounarable position six on the log and he will definitely be happy to win the bragging rights which comes with beating Gor Mahia.

However, while promising to do their best in search of a win against K’Ogalo, he has admitted that the Green Army are a better side going by the kind of players in their folds. "They have big-money players, they signed big players, they pay good salaries, they are big players; of course we know they are a good team, we give them respect but we’re not scared."

He also insisted that his preparation ahead of the match was nothing special other than the normal professional way of doing things at the Den. "We don’t change our preparations because it’s Gor Mahia. We do exactly the same thing we usually do. You do your preparations as professional as you can and you stick to it. You don’t change just because it’s a derby."

The match will be played at Nyayo Stadium as from 3:00pm.
