Nottingham Forest secure a huge result to defeat Liverpool 1-0 at the City Ground in their Premier League clash. Taiwo Awoniyi's second-half strike was enough to earn the three points, scoring on the rebound after he initially struck the post. The result lifts the Midlands outfit off the bottom of the Premier League and level on points with 17th-place Aston Villa. Liverpool were poor in front of goal this afternoon, missing a host of chances to fall to a costly defeat in their bid to push back up the table.

He plants a header low towards goal, but Henderson reacts with a super stop. Yates then prevents Alisson from latching on to the rebound, winning a free-kick in the process.

90' CHANCE! Van Dijk spurns another chance. He latches on to Alexander-Arnold's cross and has time to steer an effort at goal. However, he opts to play it across the face where it evades Salah.

Steve Cooper will not be too displeased with his side's performance. They've held their own for the majority of the game and had they been a bit more clinical they well have been ahead. Jurgen Klopp will be more concerned as his side have lacked a cutting edge in their play in and around the box.

At the other end, Jesse Lingard should have done a lot better with his chance at goal, blasting a left-footed effort straight at Alisson. Both teams have struggled in the final third.
