City host Brentford at Etihad Stadium next Saturday in their last fixture before the break for the World Cup. Fulham welcome Manchester United to Craven Cottage the following day.
City earn a hard-fought win against Fulham. They took the lead through Alvarez only for Fulham to equalise through Pereira's penalty following Cancelo's red card. Haaland thought he had won the game for the home side in the second half, only for his goal to be disallowed for offside, before he did it for real, right at the death, when he converted a late penalty. The result is huge for Pep Guardiola's side because it means they leapfrog Arsenal to take top spot - until tomorrow, at least.
