Commentary

That's all for today, goodbye!
Villa went off to more boos at the full-time whistle, and they stay in 17th, but only on goals scored now as their goal difference is the same as Wolves'. Next up for them is Brentford at home. Fulham move into the top half of the table into ninth as they end their winless run. They travel to Leeds United at the weekend.
The pressure mounts on Steven Gerrard as Fulham cruise to a 3-0 victory over 10-man Villa. Reed opened the scoring in the first half for the hosts, lifting his shot into the corner. Mings also blocked Mitrovic's effort on the line before that. In the second half, Luiz was shown a straight red card after VAR's intervention after he leaned in as if to headbutt Mitrovic. The Serbian dispatched a penalty with a big deflection off Martinez after Cash's handball shortly after. Mings' own goal wrapped up the scoring late on, as he turned in Kebano's cross.
90' + 3' FULL-TIME: FULHAM 3-0 ASTON VILLA.
90' + 1' Watkins cuts out Ream's attempted switch to De Cordova-Reid and drags it past the Jamaican to get into the box. He has a go from a tight angle but blasts it straight over the bar.
89' Martinez goes for the more direct approach this time as he plays it over the top for Watkins. He's sandwiched between two defenders but does enough to win a corner off Diop, which comes to nothing.
L. Harris
Andreas Pereira
Fulham
87' Last change for Fulham now, and 17-year-old Harris comes on to make his Premier League debut. He's on for Pereira.
H. Wilson
N. Kebano
Fulham
85' And Kebano is also making way, with Wilson replacing him.
T. Mings
Own Goal
Aston Villa
84' OWN GOAL! Kebano is given so much space down the left, and he wriggles past Cash with a lovely bit of skill. He squares it into the six-yard box where no Fulham players are hovering, but Mings makes an attempt to block it and turns it past Martinez instead. 3-0 Fulham!
Carlos Vinícius
A. Mitrović
Fulham
84' Fulham are making another double change here. Mitrovic is taken off, with Vinicius on in his place.
81' CHANCE! Young gets the better of De Cordova-Reid down the left and swings a good cross into the box. He picks out Watkins in the middle, but Robinson gets across just in time to block his shot.
C. Archer
J. Ramsey
Aston Villa
81' Final roll of the dice for Villa here as Archer comes on to replace Ramsey.
79' Fulham work it nicely down their left again, and Pereira spins away fro Buendia to swing a deep cross into the box. Mitrovic peels away at the far post, but can't control it on the stretch.
77' Every Fulham pass is being greeted by a cheer from the home fans here as they patiently work it out from the back, until Cash crashes into James with a heavy tackle.
75' Since the start of last season, Mitrovic has scored 51 league goals for Fulham - 19 more than any other player in England's top four tiers.
D. James
Willian
Fulham
73' And Willian, who has had a brilliant game today, goes off for James.
T. Cairney
H. Reed
Fulham
73' Fulham are making their first changes now. Reed, who opened the scoring for the hosts, is the first to go off, with Cairney replacing him.
71' Villa are still struggling to find their rhythm in this game with McGinn looking for Watkins down the left, but it's comfortably cut out by Diop, and Fulham are back in possession.
L. Dendoncker
D. Ings
Aston Villa
69' Villa have been waiting to make this change since Luiz's sending off, and they've finally got the chance. Ings goes off for Dendoncker, and it hasn't gone down well with the away fans.
A. Mitrović
Penalty Goal
Fulham
68' MITROVIC SCORES! It wasn't an overly convincing penalty, but that won't matter to Fulham! Mitrovic opens his foot and is trying to slot it into the bottom right corner. Martinez goes the right way and gets a lot on it, but the ball bounces under him and over the line. 2-0 Fulham!
66' PENALTY TO FULHAM! Mitrovic peeled away at the far post to get on the end of Kebano's cross. He volleys a low shot towards goal and Cash makes the block. It bounces off his leg onto his outstretched arm and the referee points straight to the spot.
64' Villa are still sitting back and allowing Fulham to keep possession around the halfway line. Willian eventually bursts forward down the left again, but his cross is played too close to Martinez.
Douglas Luiz
Red Card
Aston Villa
62' HE'S OFF! Villa are down to 10 men! The referee goes over to the monitor to have a look at the replays himself. He deems that Luiz did lean in as if to headbutt Mitrovic, and he's shown a straight red card. Things are going from bad to worse for Villa here!
61' Mitrovic is down holding his face and VAR is having a look at the incident that led up to it. It happened off the ball, and he and Luiz squared up to each other, with the Brazilian leaning his head in. He could be in trouble here...
T. Mings
Yellow Card
Aston Villa
60' Willian is on the floor again, this time because of Mings' trip. The defender is booked for the challenge.
E. Buendía
L. Bailey
Aston Villa
58' That yellow card was Bailey's last involvement in the game as he's replaced by Buendia.
L. Bailey
Yellow Card
Aston Villa
57' Willian cuts in front of Bailey, and he clips the Brazilian's heels in an attempt to stop him. He's shown the first yellow card of the game.
56' Willian is leading from the front again as he rushes to close down Cash. The substitute knocks it back to Martinez, and there's just enough on the pass so that the keeper can clear it before Willian gets there.
54' GREAT CHANCE! Fulham break on another quick counter which is led by Willian down the left. He curls a lovely cross into Mitrovic, who lets it bounce before firing towards goal, but a nick off Mings sends it over the bar.
52' It's an unconvincing clearance from Mings as he slices Pereira's free-kick out for a corner. The Brazilian swings that set-piece in too and Mitrovic rises highest to thump a header towards goal, but he's deemed to have pushed Konsa and the foul goes against him.
50' Villa win a free-kick, but they look disorganised as Luiz steps up to take it. His cross is cleared by Fulham, but Villa recycle it through Young. He clips it into the far post for Ings, but his header is straight at Leno.
48' CHANCE! Fulham have picked up where they left off in the first half. Reed gets the better of McGinn and pulls a great ball back to Mitrovic. He's unmarked, but slips as he hits the shot and it flies just wide of the near post.
46' Villa get us back underway for the second half!
M. Cash
J. Bednarek
Aston Villa
46' Villa are making a change at the break. Cash is coming in to help deal with Willian's threat, with Konsa moving to centre-back as Bednarek goes off.
Gerrard was a frustrated figure on the touchline and wasn't helped as his side went off to boos from the away fans. Villa haven't been able to keep up with the pace Fulham set and they'll need to make big changes if they want to get back into this game. Silva will be asking for more of the same though, with Fulham causing problems all over the pitch.
Reed's goal gives Fulham a 1-0 lead over Villa at half-time. The hosts were on top from the very first whistle, and could arguably have been further ahead. Martinez made some good saves to keep out Willian and Pereira, with Mings also blocking Mitrovic's shot on the line. Reed eventually broke the deadlock though, bringing down Martinez's punch and lifting his shot into the bottom corner. Leno was called into action to deny McGinn and Watkins before the break at the other end.
45' + 1' HALF-TIME: FULHAM 1-0 ASTON VILLA.
44' Villa are keeping the ball well again, but they're slow to move it upfield. All of their possession is in front of Fulham, and they're not troubling the hosts at the moment.
42' DOUBLE SAVE! McGinn has a go from range and Leno has to parry it away. The keeper spills it under pressure from Watkins, who tries to poke it towards the near post from a tight angle, but Leno manages to tip it wide.
40' Luiz loses out to Mitrovic and he tries to put Villa on the backfoot again with another counter. He has Pereira ahead of him through the middle, but the throughball is cut out by Ramsey.
38' GOOD SAVE! From a Villa corner, Fulham break on the counter again and they have five against three. Willian is leading the charge through the middle and he hits the first shot which Martinez smothers. It bobbles around in the box, but Mitrovic can't get it on target.
37' Straight from the kick-off, Villa look to get themselves back on level terms. Ings makes a great run down the right of the box before drilling a low cross back into the middle, and Leno tips it wide.
H. Reed
Goal
Fulham
36' REED SCORES! Pereira's cross is punched away by Martinez at the near post, but he only gets it as far as Reed on the edge of the box. He has time to bring it down, pick out where he wants it, and lifts his shot over Martinez into the far bottom corner. 1-0 Fulham!
35' Ramsey has the opportunity to break forward for Villa, but he doesn't get far before De Cordova-Reid slides in to stop his run, cutting out the attack.
33' SAVE! Watkins doesn't get the free-kick he wants on the edge of the box and Fulham break on a lightning-quick counter. Pereira drives through the middle before teeing up Willian. He curls it towards the far post, and Martinez stretches to push it wide.
31' It's a wonderful throughball from Watkins as he curls it through for Bailey. He takes too long to get it out of his feet and sees his shot blocked by Ream. Villa win it back quickly, and Watkins' long-range effort is punched away by Leno.
29' It's better from Villa here as they manage to work it out of their own half. Bailey gets ahead of Robinson to swing a cross into the box, but it's too high for Ings and Watkins.
27' Villa are slow to press Fulham and the hosts have all sorts of room on the ball. Diop switches it out to Robinson with a lovely pass, but his cross towards Mitrovic at the far post is plucked out of the air by Martinez.
25' Bednarek takes too long on the ball and then puts Konsa under pressure. Willian nicks it off him and drills a low shot on goal from the edge of the box, but it's straight at Martinez.
23' Another chance for Fulham as Pereira swings in a good delivery from a free-kick on the right. Palhinha rises highest in the middle, but he thumps his header wide of the far post.
21' GOOD SAVE! Pereira steps up to take the free-kick that he won, and it's a good hit from him. He curls his shot over the wall towards the top left corner and Martinez stretches to tip it over the bar.
19' Villa are struggling to get any sort of foothold in this game as Fulham push forward again. Willian looks to tee up Pereira, but he's clipped before he can shape up for a shot.
17' OFF THE LINE! Pereira's unmarked volley from the edge of the D is deflected just wide of the near post and Fulham have another corner. The Brazilian takes this one and picks out Mitrovic at the far post. He nods it down and Mings is in the right place to block it on the line.
16' SAVE! Bailey tries to be too clever on the ball and Pereira picks his pocket just outside the box. He decides to try his luck from range, but a small deflection off Ramsey takes it looping onto the roof of the net.
14' McGinn lifted a great cross into the far post and Mings glanced it back into the middle. His momentum carried him straight over the advertising boards, but he's okay to carry on after treatment.
12' The home fans aren't happy with Konsa as he's taking a long time over the free-kick despite being told to hurry by the referee. His cross is cleared out to Young on the left, but Kebano stops him from swinging it in.
10' Palhinha switches it out to De Cordova-Reid down the right and none of the Villa players attempt to close him down. He swings a wonderful early cross into the box towards Mitrovic, but he can't keep it down and it sails over the bar.
8' De Cordova-Reid outmuscles Watkins to win the ball high upfield and it allows Kebano to burst down the right. He fizzes in a low cross towards Mitrovic in the middle, but Bednarek stretches to block it.
6' Ramsey wins the ball off Pereira and sets Villa on the counter. McGinn has Watkins to his left, but it's a poor attempted pass into him as he hits it straight out of play.
4' GOOD SAVE! Fulham have made a bright start to this game and Mitrovic knocks it past Ramsey before knocking it to Willian on the left of the box, but his low shot is kept out by Martinez's foot.
2' It's Fulham with the early possession here as they patiently play it out from the back. De Cordova-Reid cuts inside and switches it out to Robinson down the left, but his cross is blocked by Konsa.
1' Reed gets the game underway for Fulham!
The teams are out on the pitch now, with kick-off just moments away!

Gerrard also makes only one change from the loss to Chelsea on Sunday. Bednarek comes in for Cash, who drops to the bench. Young makes his 400th Premier League appearance, and Mings has shaken off an ankle problem to start.
Marco Silva makes just one change to the side that drew with Bournemouth last time out. Willian is brought in for James, who starts on the bench today.

Villa come into this game sitting just one place above the relegation zone, level on points with Wolves below them, after a stuttering start to their season, which has seen Steven Gerrard come under pressure. They're still looking for their first win on the road in the league, and have won just one of their last eight matches in the competition (D3 L4), going winless in their previous three outings. Fulham are also without a win in their last three league outings, but they did come from behind on Saturday to earn a 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
