Commentary

That's all from Goodison Park today, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
While Leicester move out of the relegation zone with their three points today, Everton will aim to bounce back in a pair of meetings with Bournemouth over the coming days - in both the EFL Cup and Premier League.
Leicester's renaissance continues. Without doubt the better side today, the Foxes tore into the Toffees with a committed attacking performance that yielded two fine goals. The first, from Tielemans, will linger long on highlights reels of the 2022-23 season, and after the long-shot specialist scored his stunner at the end of the first half, Barnes found the top corner late on in the second. A limp display from Everton allows Leicester to leapfrog them in the Premier League table; not the best way to end their Goodison Park campaign ahead of the World Cup.
90' + 4' FULL-TIME: EVERTON 0-2 LEICESTER CITY
90' + 3' SAVE! Maddison eases clear in midfield; releasing Vardy with a well-weighted pass. The Leicester counter seems to be heading for a third goal, but when Barnes receives the ball, he then prods a shot straight at Pickford from close range!
N. Mendy
Y. Tielemans
Leicester City
90' + 1' Killing a few seconds of stoppage time, opening goalscorer Tielemans makes way for Mendy in midfield.
90' There are set to be three stoppage-time minutes for the visitors to endure, but their two-goal advantage should see them through to the final whistle.
88' Not only has Maddison now assisted his fourth goal of the season, he has had eight attempts himself today, in another impressive performance for the Foxes.
J. Maddison
Assist
Leicester City
86' Despite missing out with a series of shots today, Maddison persists and sets up a second goal - sprinting down the left flank and then slipping the ball back for Barnes to strike.

86' BARNES WINS IT! Leicester are on the way to three points at Goodison - it's 2-0! On the break, Maddison sears down the left and pulls the ball back for Barnes. It actually drifts behind his fellow forward, but Barnes improvises to turn Doucoure and slam the ball into the top-left corner with a superb strike! Game over!
84' Faes barges his way through a packed penalty area to reach the ball from Maddison's corner on the right, but under plenty of pressure, can't get enough purchase on his header, which dribbles into the waiting gloves of Pickford.
82' With several blue shirts gathered in the box, Patterson slices an early cross from the right way over the crossbar. Time is short now, and Everton can't afford to waste possession in such a way.
80' Everton are finally starting to apply some sustained pressure, and Justin has to be well-placed to turn the ball behind for a corner. However, Garner wastes it by hitting the first man with his cross.
M. Albrighton
K. Dewsbury-Hall
Leicester City
78' Adding his experience to the mix, Albrighton comes on for Dewsbury-Hall in Leicester's midfield.
75' Leicester are managing to keep their hosts at bay without too much stress at the moment. Goodison has quietened significantly, and all seems to be going to plan for former Liverpool manager Rodgers. Can his newly-resilient side hold on?
73' After skipping past Garner with some ease, Barnes drives into the box from the left-hand side, but once again fails to produce a testing shot; scuffing the ball straight at an untroubled Pickford in the centre of the goal.
N. Patterson
S. Coleman
Everton
71' A change at right-back sees Everton captain Coleman making way for young Patterson.
A. Gordon
D. McNeil
Everton
71' Lampard rolls the dice by making another double substitution. First, McNeil is replaced by Gordon.
W. Ndidi
B. Soumaré
Leicester City
70' Ndidi comes on too, providing some fresh legs in midfield as Soumare makes way.
J. Vardy
P. Daka
Leicester City
70' Leicester make their first changes: initially, Daka is replaced by Vardy up front.
68' A long ball up from the back by Faes is accurate enough to pick out a clever run from Maddison, who sprints into space near the penalty spot. Under pressure form Pickford, though, he can't quite get it under his spell and the chance is gone.
66' Lampard is readying more replacements near the touchline, while Leicester have yet to make a single substitution. Understandably, Rodgers doesn't want to kill their momentum.
64' CLOSE! McNeil drives into the box from the left and manages to force the ball through to recent arrival Maupay, but a combination of Faes and a low dive from Ward keeps out the Frenchman's drive towards the bottom corner!
63' In a more subdued phase of an end-to-end game, both sides seem to be taking a breather. A grand finale is surely in store, though, given how frantic events have been so far.
A. Doucouré
A. Onana
Everton
61' During the break in play, Everton make another substitution, as Onana makes way for Doucoure in midfield.
N. Maupay
D. Calvert-Lewin
Everton
61' Having apparently picked up a muscular injury, World Cup hopeful Calvert-Lewin has to be replaced; Maupay comes on instead.
59' OFF THE POST! Taking advantage of McNeil's lax defending on the right, Maddison swerves into a shooting position on the edge of the box, then fires towards the bottom-right corner. His low shot clips the outside of the post, and Pickford surely releases a sigh of relief!
57' Gray loads a long free-kick into the box from deep on the right, and Amartey's attempted clearance only finds Onana, who then slashes at a 20-yard effort which goes nowhere fast.
55' Having been presented with the ball on the left flank, Garner hares into the box and looks up to find a blue Everton shirt, but then stumbles and spurns a great opportunity to create an equaliser. Cue groans from the fans.
53' Alert to the opening, Calvert-Lewin almost sneaks in to steal a headed back-pass by Soumare, who took a risk when trying to find Ward from the edge of the area. The goalkeeper claims the ball, though.
51' Daka skews a half-chance far over the crossbar from the edge of the box, following Amartey's throughball.
49' SAVE! Smart interplay between Gray and Iwobi allows Everton to slice through the Leicester defence, down the right, then Iwobi slips a perfectly-weighted pass through for Calvert-Lewin in the box. The striker delays just a touch too long, and Ward is able to block his goalbound shot at close range! Much better from the Toffees!
47' Everton exert a little early pressure after the re-start, but Leicester survive a corner and a couple of crosses, and their momentum soon fades.
J. Garner
I. Gueye
Everton
46' Lampard has made a half-time change: having picked up an injury during the first half, Gueye is replaced by Garner in the Everton midfield.
46' Everton kick off, and we are back under way at Goodison Park!
While Leicester have lost just one of their last 10 Premier League games in which they've led at half time - winning seven times in the process - Everton have a record of four losses from four when trailing at half-time in the top flight this season. That will make grim reading for the frustrated home fans, whose side are a goal behind at the break.
At the end of an eventful first half, Tielemans provided a truly sparkling finish from outside the box, which sees Leicester deservedly lead at the interval. The visitors have been largely in control so far, while Everton have failed to match either their intensity or guile in the final third. Only some wayward finishing keeps the Foxes' lead at just one; to make a comeback, their hosts will simply have to improve.
45' + 3' HALF-TIME: EVERTON 0-1 LEICESTER CITY
45' + 2' Coleman crosses from the right, towards the penalty spot, and after McNeil glances on a header, Amartey manages to block out Onana on the edge of the six-yard box.
J. Maddison
Assist
Leicester City
45' Maddison laid the ball back to Tielemans, who then fired home a brilliant opening goal for Leicester.

Goal
Leicester City
45' LEICESTER LEAD! A pure screamer from Tielemans gives the visitors a merited lead - and just before the break! Everton fail to properly clear their lines, with Coady particularly at fault, and the ball breaks to the Foxes midfielder on the right edge of the box. He cushions it and then sends an unstoppable shot swerving into the top-left corner! It's 1-0 to Leicester!
44' Everton almost strike on the counter, as Mykolenko crosses from the left for Iwobi, who sees a header blocked at close range. Then, Calvert-Lewin can't quite get a clear attempt on target.
42' SHARP STOP! Pickford has to be alert, as an Everton error deep in midfield allows Daka to streak through at top speed and take a low drive at goal from a tight angle on the left. The England goalkeeper gets a firm hand to it, and keeps his side on level terms!
40' Easily beating his fellow Belgian, Castagne, to the ball, Onana steers a header from near the penalty spot well over the crossbar.
37' JUST WIDE! Everton escape again! Only a last-gasp intervention by Gueye, deep inside his own area, denies Maddison this time, as the Leicester man drives towards the bottom corner from around 20 yards out. All the Foxes have to show for it is another corner - surely they must make this incessant pressure pay?
35' As a measure of Leicester's supremacy so far, Maddison has now attempted a total of five shots on goal, while his team have had 56 per cent of the ball despite being on away soil.
33' Following a Dewsbury-Hall cross from the left, Mykolenko makes a hash of his attempted clearance in the centre of his own box, and Everton are fortunate to get the ball away. Frank Lampard will not be happy with how his team have been pushed back for most of the first half, and neither are the audibly disgruntled home fans.
31' Growing in confidence, Maddison exerts his influence again: he picks up the ball on the right side of the box and contrives a clever shot at goal with the outside of his boot, which is then partly blocked before Pickford eventually claims the ball under pressure.
29' CLOSE! Showing great balance and ability to misdirect his markers, Maddison dances through a couple of challenges on the edge of the area and fires a low shot towards goal. Having taken a slight deflection on the way, the ball flies narrowly wide of the right-hand post! Leicester are pushing hard here.
27' After Gueye brings down Maddison with a late challenge, out on the right flank, Leicester have the chance to deliver the ball into the box from the subsequent free-kick. Maddison then loops a cross towards the back post, but Pickford comes out and just about clears the danger.
25' Everton are unbeaten in their last five Premier League games against Leicester and have also kept four clean sheets in their last eight league games all told - including each of their last two. However, Leicester have found the net in each of their last 12 visits to Goodison Park since a goalless draw in January 1999.
23' SAVE! After Tarkowski leaps highest to attack a cross from the right and power a header at the left side of the Leicester goal, Ward springs across towards the bottom corner and pushes the ball behind for a corner-kick!
22' A sweeping move from right to left ends with Dewsbury-Hall picking out an on-rushing Barnes, who sprints in from the left flank. After opening his body to shoot, the latter blazes the ball well wide of the target.
21' In an excellent position, on the left-hand side of Everton's area, Dewsbury-Hall makes to chop back inside for a cross, but he slips and the chance to create an opening goal goes awry.
19' Though only one has really threatened the Everton goal, Maddison has already attempted three shots today, which is more than the Toffees' total of two.
17' Having briefly made his way off the pitch for assessment, Gueye is passed fit to continue, and rejoins the game.
16' Following a lively start on Merseyside, the action finally comes to a temporary halt: Gueye is down on the turf nursing an injury, and he requires medical attention.
14' CLOSE! Everton fail to clear their lines with a header on the edge of the box, and an alert Daka pounces. He then lays the ball back for Maddison to take a crack from around 20 yards out, and the playmaker's strike at goal zips narrowly wide of the left-hand post!
12' After Iwobi plays through Gray on the right side of the area, the ex-Foxes winger drifts inside to a good shooting position, but then releases a badly-skewed effort which flies well over the crossbar.
10' Iwobi is involved again, as he tries to play in Calvert-Lewin with a low diagonal pass. The striker can’t manage to control the ball, though, and it rolls through harmlessly to the waiting Ward.
8' Having survived a serious scare at the back, Leicester resume their dominance of possession, though their passing is predominantly deep inside their own half. That's how the error occured to let Everton in earlier on.
6' MISS! Pressing his opponent into a mistake, Calvert-Lewin wins the ball back inside Leicester's defensive third and threads through an inviting low pass for Iwobi, who breaks forward to support from midfield. The latter's attempt towards the far post from the right side of the box rolls wide of the target, and that goes down as a good chance missed!
4' SAVE! A ball slid through to the edge of the area by Dewsbury-Hall finds Daka in half a yard of space, and the Leicester striker takes the chance to get off a quick shot. However, his effort is scuffed at Pickford, who dives low to get a firm hand behind a routine stop.
2' Having created an early opening, in which Daka was just unable to latch on to a ball zipped across the box, Leicester are the team dominating the ball so far, while Everton are pushed back.
1' The visitors kick off, and we are under way at Goodison Park!
After a pre-match moment of silence to mark Remembrance Day, which occurs next week, we are just moments away from kick-off.
As Leicester revert to a four-man defence today, Caglar Soyuncu makes way and Soumare returns to stiffen the visitors' midfield. Meanwhile, Daka replaces Vardy up front. Captain Jonny Evans is not yet able to make his comeback from an injury lay-off and joins long-term absentee Ricardo Pereira on the sidelines.
Everton make just a single change to the XI which started last week, as McNeil replaces Gordon today. Once again, captain Coleman is preferred to Patterson on the right flank, while Gray lines up against his former club; supporting Calvert-Lewin up front. Yerry Mina, Ben Godfrey and Andros Townsend are all still unavailable.
SUBS: Daniel Iversen, Jamie Vardy, Ayoze Perez, Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Marc Albrighton, Nampalys Mendy, Jannik Vestergaard, Luke Thomas.
LEICESTER CITY (4-1-4-1): Danny Ward; Timothy Castagne, Daniel Amartey, Wout Faes, James Justin; Boubakary Soumare; James Maddison, Youri Tielemans, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Harvey Barnes; Patson Daka.
SUBS: Asmir Begovic, Michael Keane, Neal Maupay, Abdoulaye Doucoure, Tom Davies, Mason Holgate, Anthony Gordon, James Garner, Nathan Patterson.
EVERTON (4-3-3): Jordan Pickford; Seamus Coleman, Conor Coady, James Tarkowski, Vitalii Mykolenko; Idrissa Gueye, Amadou Onana, Alex Iwobi; Dwight McNeil, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Demarai Gray.
Despite putting in a commendable effort last week, a 1-0 defeat to Premier League champions Manchester City leaves Leicester City inside the relegation zone; occupying 18th place in the table. The Foxes had previously kept three successive clean sheets, though, and have lost only twice in six top-flight outings since the start of October. It has been nearly two years since Brendan Rodgers' side won consecutive away games in the league, which will be their aim today.
In holding Fulham to a goalless draw last time out, Everton kept a second straight clean sheet and made it four points from a possible six since suffering successive defeats to Manchester United, Tottenham and Newcastle. Though sitting in mid-table, only three points separates the Toffees from Leicester in the Premier League drop zone, and they have managed just two wins from their six league games at Goodison Park this term. Nonetheless, the Merseysiders have conceded only four times in the process, and their overall defensive record is among the best in the division.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of today's Premier League encounter between Everton and Leicester City at Goodison Park!
