That's all from our FA Cup final coverage at Wembley, so thank you for joining us and goodbye!
Klopp pips Tuchel to become the first German coach to lift the FA Cup, and two more trophies are still available to his Liverpool side, who are yet to contest the Champions League final. It is a hollow end to a difficult campaign for the reigning European and world champions, who must regroup and recover for their final two Premier League fixtures. They now watch on as Liverpool lift the cup in front of their fans.
An eighth FA Cup win for Liverpool comes via the familiar route of penalties, having also been their mode of success back in 2006, when they lasted lifted the famous old trophy, and in February's League Cup final defeat of Chelsea. Coming out 6-5 winners in the shootout, the Reds' cup treble is now just one match from fruition, after they edged out a spirited Chelsea side who have now lost three successive FA Cup finals too. Both teams should have scored during a lively 90 minutes, while extra-time seemed destined only to lead to spot-kicks, but it is the Merseyside giants who leave Wembley with the silverware!
FULL TIME: CHELSEA 0-0 LIVERPOOL (LIVERPOOL WIN 6-5 ON PENALTIES)
LIVERPOOL WIN IT! Tsimikas steps up to the decisive penalty of a tense shoot-out, and guides the ball into the bottom-left corner of the net. The Reds are taking the FA Cup back to Anfield for the first time in 16 years!
MOUNT MISSES! Alisson could be the cup final hero, as the Brazilian goalkeeper flings himself left to repel Mount's spot-kick. If Liverpool score next, they'll claim the cup!
Having missed a few chances during the game, Jota steps up to beat Mendy with a finish high into the top-right corner. There was no keeping that one out! 5-5.
Ziyech scores from the spot - leathering the ball past Alisson with unstoppable force. 5-4.
SAVE! Against his international colleague, Mane misses, as Mendy dives low to his left to keep his shot out! It stays 4-4 after five kicks each!
Overcoming his demons from the spot, Jorginho slots the ball past Alisson, and forces Liverpool to take their final kick of the five. It's 4-4!
Set-piece specialist Alexander-Arnold places his penalty into the bottom-right corner, and now Chelsea must score their next spot-kick! 4-3 Liverpool!
On as a late substitute, Barkley drives his spot-kick into the right side of the goal; Alisson goes the wrong way. 3-3 now.
Firmino's stuttered run-up ends with a shot that just evades Mendy's reach, and Liverpool have yet to miss. They lead 3-2 in the shootout!
With great confidence, James places his penalty into the centre of the goal, bringing Chelsea back to 2-2!
Mendy is well beaten by Thiago, whose penalty kick clips the bottom of the left-hand post on its way in: 2-1 to Liverpool!
MISS! Chelsea captain Azpilicueta fires his penalty against the right-hand post, and Alisson punches the air with delight! Still 1-1 and advantage Liverpool.
Milner blasts the ball past Mendy, though the goalkeeper gets a glove to his powerful effort: 1-1!
Alonso puts Chelsea ahead with the first spot-kick; sending Alisson the wrong way with a cool finish into the bottom-left corner.
Nerves are jangling in both camps, as the teams convene in pitchside huddles, and the penalty takers are being finalised.
For only the third time in FA Cup history, the grand old competition's final will be decided by penalties, as Liverpool and Chelsea go to spot-kicks for a second time this season.

END OF EXTRA-TIME: CHELSEA 0-0 LIVERPOOL
Tuchel makes a curious change, as substitute Loftus-Cheek is taken off in the final moments. Barkley surely comes on in order to take a penalty.
Ever resilient, Thiago Silva peels himself off the grass and hobbles on - he will see out this game.
Stricken by cramp, Thiago Silva is grimacing down on the turf, inside his own penalty area. It looks like the veteran defender may not make it all the way to the final's conclusion.
Tsmikas earns a free-kick on the left wing, after tempting the tiring James into a trip. However, the Greece international's cross from the set-piece cannot quite pick out Firmino on the right side of the area.
Penalties draw ever closer on the horizon, as both teams are naturally much closer to walking pace than before, and the need to avoid mistakes grows ever more acute.
Having apparently picked up a knock, Robertson makes way for Tsimikas on Liverpool's left flank.
Ziyech goes down easily under pressure from Alexander-Arnold just inside the area, but despite a roar of appeal from the Chelsea fans, the referee remains unmoved.
We are back under way, with just 15 minutes left for either side to claim the cup before its destiny has to be decided by penalties.
Chelsea were certainly the team on top for most of the first 15 minutes of extra-time, but still we await the FA Cup final's first goal. Naturally, thoughts will be turning to the looming spectre of another penalty shootout between these two clubs, but time remains for a hero - or villain - to make the difference.

HALF-TIME IN EXTRA-TIME: CHELSEA 0-0 LIVERPOOL
Rudiger is forced to concede a corner shortly before the half-time whistle, but Mendy is then able to get a glove to the cross and punches the ball clear to relative safety.
Chelsea's free-kick results in another corner, but Liverpool manage to avoid conceding as we approach the end of the first period of extra-time.
Chelsea continue to build momentum, as after a corner-kick routine doesn't quite come off, they earn a free-kick for a foul by Thiago on the left side of the pitch, some 30 yards from goal.
Drifting inside from the left, Mount has another crack at goal from outside the box, but it clears Alisson's crossbar quite comfortably in the end.
A dazzling display of wing wizardry by Diaz comes to an end, as Firmino is given the chance to become Liverpool's matchwinner.
Jota chases back to deny Alonso a chance to cross once again from the left touchline, and it looks as if a further Liverpool substitution is afoot.
Mount puts a shot from outside the box wide of the right post, following a Chelsea corner.
A surging run from James sets Pulisic clear on the left, but Matip - only freshly on from the bench - covers across well to cut out the trouble and concede a corner.
V. van Dijk
In an enforced change to the Liverpool defence, Van Dijk has been replaced by Matip at the start of extra-time.
After a brief pause to regroup and take on drinks, we are back under way in the first half of extra-time!
We are going to extra-time at Wembley, as the FA Cup final enters an added 30 minutes!

END OF 90 MINUTES: CHELSEA 0-0 LIVERPOOL
90' + 2'
Mendy receives treatment for a knock taken in the act of keeping Konate at bay, but is fit enough to continue - with penalties a realistic prospect in the coming minutes.
90' + 1'
Mendy gathers the ball low down at the feet of Konate, and eventually smothers the danger following a dangerous looping cross by Alexander-Arnold.
SO CLOSE! Yet another moment of inspiration from Diaz sees the winger slip inside his defender to tee up a shot from the left side of the box. His curling effort just misses the far post, with Mendy beaten, and Chelsea hang on.
Though Van Dijk reaches Alexander-Arnold's cross from the left, he can only head over the crossbar.
Liverpool are certainly on top again, with the 90 minutes fast approaching its conclusion, but a goal for either side now would surely decide the game.
After a mostly frustrating shift up front, Lukaku is substituted by Tuchel; Ziyech comes on.
LIVERPOOL DENIED AGAIN! A left-footed volley at the back post by Jota strikes the woodwork, following Milner's deep cross, and the ball is cleared away on the rebound. That was a glaring miss by the Portugal forward, and he may eventually rue such profligacy.
OFF THE POST! Mane feeds Diaz on the right side of the area, and the Colombian fires an effort towards the near post, which clips the upright and zips behind for a Chelsea goal-kick. Liverpool are getting closer!
Alisson gathers the ball low down at his near post, as Alonso attempts to cut the ball back from the left byline following another surging run.
Thiago is back on his feet, following James' crude tackle, but Liverpool essentially waste the resulting free-kick.
A clumsy late challenge by James, which sees him rake his studs down the leg of Thiago, results in the final's first booking.
Chelsea's first corner, taken by Mount, is grasped gratefully by Alisson under little pressure inside his six-yard box.
After a clash of knees with Milner, James is now fine to continue and rejoins the action.
James covers across well to deny Mane a chance to seize the ball inside the area, but Milner clatters the Chelsea wing-back with a late challenge and he goes down hurt as a result.
Having been involved in attacking areas several times, but to no avail, Keita makes way for Milner in the Liverpool midfield.
Apparently caught by Mane's arm in a tussle for the ball, Chalobah is down on the turf, and the game comes to a temporary halt. He is soon fine to continue, though, and the Senegalese striker goes unpunished.
Receiving the ball from Thiago on the left edge of the Chelsea area, Diaz opts to curl an ambitious shot at the top-right corner, but his attempt clears the crossbar.
WIDE! Another chance is spurned by Pulisic, as James picks him out on the edge of the box, and he turns the ball wide of the near post with a low strike.
There is a hero's welcome for Kante from the Chelsea faithful, as he replaces Kovacic in midfield.
A regulation save from Mendy, low down to his right, denies Keita's scuffed shot from the right side of the area, and Liverpool's 12th shot of the game is as fruitless as the previous 11.
Mendy ultimately gathers the ball aerially, after Liverpool's second corner in quick succession. It looks like Tuchel is going to respond to this tricky spell with a substitution.
Liverpool make a mess of a corner from the right, but eventually force another to keep the pressure building on their opponents.
JUST WIDE! After Keita picks him out on the right side of the area with a low pass, Jota drags an angled effort past the far post, and Chelsea survive!
Lukaku is penalised for a foul on Konate deep inside the Liverpool half, which breaks up Chelsea's attacking rhythm, and the Reds are back on the ball in this relentless cup final, which somehow still remains goalless.
The first 10 minutes of the second half have seen Chelsea keep 65 per cent of the ball to Liverpool's much-reduced 35 per cent - demonstrating the Blues' improvement.
Alexander-Arnold covers across to cut out the cross of his fellow England full-back James, with Pulisic poised to pounce on the edge of the six-yard box. There is no doubt, Chelsea are a team transformed from the first period, and this final really could go either way.
CLOSE! Liverpool have regained the initiative here, as Diaz turns on the edge of the area and strikes a firm, low shot narrowly wide of the left post. Mendy was well beaten, but Chelsea survive!
Mane drives Liverpool forward, before the ball breaks to Alexander-Arnold in his familiar inside-right position. He curls in a deliciously inviting cross to the back post, where Robertson arrives unmarked, but his fellow full-back cannot connect cleanly and the ball dribbles wide.
OFF THE BAR! From a free-kick out on the right flank, an inswinging attempt from Alonso evades the gloves of Alisson and clips the top of the Liverpool crossbar! So close to a spectacular cup final goal!
SHARP STOP! A flying save from Alisson denies Pulisic the opening goal, as Chelsea flood forward in numbers, and the American forward turns Lukaku's layoff towards goal. It's been a quick start to the half from Chelsea!
Liverpool get us back under way at Wembley!
This is the fourth meeting of the season between Liverpool and Chelsea, with the other three all ending level, though the Reds lifted the League Cup on penalties back in February. There is often little between the sides, then, but will we find the FA Cup winner within 90 minutes today, or are extra time and penalties almost inevitable?
An absorbing first half has seen both sides enjoy spells of supremacy, but Liverpool have brought a typically intense approach to Wembley and will probably feel they should be leading at the interval. Nevertheless, Chelsea have posed a significant threat on the counter, with Pulisic often picking up space in front of the opposition back four, and are still very much in this final. Salah's early exit briefly derailed the Reds' momentum, but they ended the half in the ascendancy and only need to sharpen up in front of goal.

HALF-TIME: CHELSEA 0-0 LIVERPOOL
45' + 3'
There have been 12 shots on goal between these cup final combatants so far today, but only two have found the target.
45' + 1'
A dinked ball by Jorginho into the box finds Lukaku's left foot, but the Belgian striker skies his effort over the crossbar, in the first minute of four indicated for stoppage time.
CLOSE! After Thiago flips the ball out to the left side of the area, Robertson then crosses towards the penalty spot, where Jota meets it with a volleyed effort, which sails wide of Mendy's goal. Another good chance spurned, and somehow the game remains 0-0!
As Liverpool press on, aiming to take a lead into the break, Konate fires a shot from outside the box high and wide of the target.
Liverpool are seeking to win both of England’s cup competitions in the same season for the first time since the treble-winning campaign of 2000-01. Meanwhile, if Chelsea were to lose, they would be the first team to fail in both the League and FA Cup finals since Middlesbrough in 1997.
Under pressure from Van Dijk, a chance for Lukaku to control the ball in the area and turn towards goal goes astray, following a straight throughball from midfield.
Having apparently traded places with Keita, who has drifted further out to the right as cover, Alexander-Arnold twice picks up the ball in central areas around 30 yards from goal, but sees both a shot and a cross cut out.
Konate positions himself well to block out Pulisic, who attempts a left-footed shot from an angle on the left side of the box. However, the American winger perhaps should have made more of the chance.
Unable to continue due to injury, Salah must be replaced before half-time; Jota comes on in his place.
Another moment of concern arises for Klopp, as Salah is the latest man to sink to the turf with a pained expression. He looks particularly uncomfortable, but the Liverpool medics will assess his condition.
Still moving gingerly, Alisson is back on his feet following treatment, and the final gets back under way.
Following his save at the feet of Alonso, a leg injury for Alisson sees him call for the game to be halted, and the Liverpool keeper will now receive medical attention.
SAVE! Diving low at the feet of Alonso deep into his area, Alisson smothers the wing-back's shot, after Pulisic had picked his Chelsea colleague out with a perceptive pass from the edge of the box. Alonso just overran the ball, which allowed the goalkeeper to make the stop.
As a measure of their improvement over the past 10 minutes, Chelsea have increased their possession share to 44 per cent, and have finally had their first shot at goal - still trailing Liverpool's tally of six.
JUST WIDE! After Mount cuts a low ball back from the right byline, Pulisic latches onto it, but can only steer his strike narrowly wide of the Liverpool goal. Chelsea are growing into the game, but the final remains goalless.
These clubs have met only once before in the FA Cup final, doing so in 2012, when Chelsea won 2-1. This is the Blues’ 16th appearance in the competition’s final compared to the Liverpool's 15th.
Stretching at a ball running away from his control, Robertson fires an effort from just outside the box well over Mendy's crossbar.
Mendy appears to have picked up an injury on his left foot, after clearing away under pressure from international team-mate Mane. However, after a short pause in the action, the game gets back under way.
Alonso drifts a free-kick from the right side of the area straight into the expectant gloves of Alisson, inside the goalkeeper's six-yard box. Given Chelsea's lack of opportunities so far, that was a waste.
Though the assistant's flag is ultimately raised for offside, Lukaku holds the ball up well to play in Pulisic, who strikes a 20-yard shot just wide of the left post - Chelsea's first atatcking move of note.
With 67 per cent of the ball so far, Liverpool's intent has been quite plain in the opening stages, and a timid Chelsea seem ill-equipped to respond. They just cannot cope with Diaz on the left flank.
Mane releases Diaz on the left, but the latter rather selfishly shoots straight into a wall of yellow shirts. From the rebound, Alexander-Arnold attempts a speculative strike from the right side of the box, but it is also charged down by the Chelsea defence.
After a brief period down on the turf receiving treatment for a knock, Thiago Silva appears to be fit enough to return to Chelsea's back three, which has been under tremendous pressure in the first 10 minutes.
CLOSE! Twice, Liverpool almost open the scoring, after an exceptional throughball by Alexander-Arnold picks out Diaz on the left, and the winger's low shot is saved by the fast-closing Mendy; then Keita thumps a shot wide of the right post from the follow-up. Nearly, but not quite!
Once again, Chalobah is unable to cope with Diaz's pace and guile, and the Colombian's cutback into the area is only cleared away with a last-gasp clearance.
Back at full tilt, Jorginho shepherds Salah out of play on the right byline following Liverpool's corner, but the Reds are starting to get on top in the early stages.
Liverpool have the game's first corner, after Jorginho makes a block with his head at close range. It seems to have stunned the Chelsea skipper, who has to be helped back to his feet by team-mates.
Diaz finds space on the left side of the area, and clips a ball across the box for Thiago, who is just unable to reach it with his outstretched boot, only five yards from a wide-open goal.
Chelsea's first foray forward sees Jorginho overhit an attempted throughball to Lukaku in a central position, and Alisson sweeps the ball up under no pressure.
Clad in all-yellow, Chelsea get the FA Cup final under way!
The players are out on the pitch, soaking up the atmosphere at a sun-soaked Wembley Stadium, and after the traditional singing of 'Abide With Me', kick-off is now just moments away!
One of five changes from the side which beat Aston Villa earlier this week, Salah returns to Liverpool's attacking triumvirate, while the injured Fabinho is replaced by captain Henderson in midfield. Thiago, Robertson and Konate also come into Jurgen Klopp's starting XI, with Mane and Diaz joining Salah up front.
Absent from Chelsea's cup final squad today, Kai Havertz is unavailable due to a hamstring problem, which allows Lukaku to retain his place up front. The Blues make only one change to the team that won at Leeds earlier this week, as Thiago Silva returns to the back three; Christensen drops out. Italy midfielder Jorginho captains the side.

After Liverpool defeated Premier League title rivals Manchester City to make it to today's final, the prospect of a cup treble - or even an historic quadruple - gathered more momentum. Despite victory over Aston Villa in midweek, the Champions League finalists must close a three-point gap to City at the top of the league table with only two matches left to play, so now return their attention to achieving FA Cup glory. Not since their famous 2006 win against West Ham have the Reds managed to get their hands on the trophy, but a 15-game unbeaten run - including seven wins from their last eight - sees them arrive at Wembley in top form.
To reach the 141st FA Cup final, Chelsea ended the hopes of fellow London club Crystal Palace in the semi-finals last month, having eliminated lower league opponents Chesterfield, Plymouth Argyle, Luton Town and Middlesbrough in previous rounds. That leaves the Blues only 90 minutes - or perhaps a little more - away from their ninth FA Cup triumph; becoming the third-most successful team in the competition's long and illustrious history. However, just two wins from their last six games makes Thomas Tuchel's side underdogs for today's showpiece occasion - particularly as they face EFL Cup final conquerors Liverpool once again.
Hello and welcome to live coverage of today's FA Cup final between Chelsea and Liverpool at Wembley!
