The Dormaa-based side slumped to a narrow reversal in their first game of the continental inter-club competition
Ghana's sole representatives in this year's Caf Champions League, Aduana Stars, got their campaign off to a losing start following a 1-0 away fall to Libyan outfit Al Tahaddy on Sunday.
The Fire Boys were undone by a first half strike from Mahmoud Ali in the preliminary round first leg encounter.
The match was played at Petro Sport Stadium in Cairo, Egypt, due to the volatile political situation in Libya.
The return leg comes off on February 21 in Dormaa, Ghana.
The winner over two legs progresses to the first round to meet the victor of the clash between ES Setif of Algeria and Olympic Real de Bangui of the Central African Republic.
Aduana, who returned to the Caf Champion League after a seven-year absence, qualified for this year's edition after winning the Ghana Premier League last season.
