<p>A survey of supporters in eight countries across Europe, the Americas and Asia reveals that a whopping 86.7 per cent of football fans are interested in football abroad, with as many as 33% considering a foreign team to be their main one.</p>

WHAT HAPPENED?

<p>A total of six English top-flight teams are named in the top 10 teams with overseas appeal, with Tottenham proving surprisingly popular. The presence of Son Heung-min has seen a dramatic rise in their fandom in South Korea, where a total of 42.3% of respondents picked Spurs as their team - the largest share by a team in any particular country.</p>
