Ghana Player Ratings: Partey, Ayew brothers fail to sparkle as Blacks Stars lose to Uruguay

The 26-year-old went into the game having conceded in the first two Group matches against Portugal and South Korea, and despite a good start, he conceded yet again after Giorgian de Arrascaeta put Uruguay ahead.

He, however, produced a great save to deny the advancing Luis Suarez in the 26th minute and Edinson Cavani in the 89th minute.

Seidu started in their opener against Portugal before he was dropped for the game against South Korea. He was recalled for the clash against Uruguay but looked unsettled in his battles with Suarez.

An unconvincing display from the Arsenal player when it mattered most. He failed to control the game in the middle and was not able to stop the runs which produced Uruguay's two goals.

The 22-year-old was impressive in previous matches but he failed to sparkle in the defeat against Uruguay. He was twice caught out of position and his mistakes could have made it even worse for the Black Stars.

The 22-year-old Kudus avoided an early booking into the game after a late challenge on Atletico Madrid defender Jose Maria Gimenez but he recovered to earn the penalty which was missed by Ayew.

He almost reduced the deficit for the Black Stars in the 81st minute but his well-taken effort was saved by Rochet.

Just like his brother Andre, Jordan, who was dropped for the opener against Portugal but started against South Korea, lacked the usual flair and was replaced alongside his sibling in the 46th minute for Kamaldeen Sulemana.

The 32-year-old Ayew had a chance to put Ghana ahead but he missed from the penalty spot after his weak effort was saved by the keeper. He later looked isolated and was replaced by Bukari in the 46th minute.

He started his third straight match at the global competition but was not able to sign off with a goal. He looked isolated especially when the Ayew brothers were subbed off.

Came on in the second half but was not able to lift the Black Stars.

Sulemana had a great chance to reduce the deficit in the 78th minute but his effort was superbly saved. He was also booked for a clumsy challenge.

The SC Freiburg forward made little impact after coming on.

Came on for Inaki Williams in the 72nd minute and made no impact.
