According to reports, SuperSport United are keen on roping in Zimbabwean international Prince Dube, as they look to bolster their squad ahead of the new season.
Dube is seen as one of Zimbabwe’s brightest young talents after his exploits in 2016 saw him bag the Rookie of the Year award.
The 20-year-old’s impressive displays has subsequently led him to be called up to the international stage, and most recently he represented his country in the Cosafa Cup as well as the weekend’s Chan qualifier against Namibia.
Nonetheless, Dube may not return to Zimbabwe to join up with his current club Highlanders as Matsatsantsa coach Eric Tinkler is believed to be keen on the forward’s services.
However, the Tshwane side will not have everything their own way in the race for the striker’s signature with another Premier Soccer League (PSL) side in Baroka FC also interested in signing him.
Nevertheless, it is believed that SuperSport are the frontrunners for Dube as they look to find a replacement for Dove Wome, who is still in negotiations with Orlando Pirates after spending the second half of the campaign on loan at the Soweto giants.
Meanwhile, SuperSport are also believed to be in talks with Siyabonga Nhlapo over a possible move.
