Youssef En-Nesyri found the back of the net in Malaga’s 2-1 loss to Real Betis in Monday’s LaLiga outing.

Having been relegated to the second division, Jose Gonzalez’ men came into the tie to play for pride but ended suffering their 25th defeat in the top-flight this season.

After 20 minutes of action, Nigeria international Isaac Success put En-Nesyri through on goal and the youngster dispatched his effort to register his fourth top-flight goal this season.

However, four minutes later, Riza Durmisi levelled proceedings for Quique Setiento’s side to start a fightback.

And in the 73rd minute, Fabian scored the matchwinning goal after benefitting from Andres Guardado’s assist as the visitors left Estadio Benito Villamarin empty-handed.

En-Nesyri featured for the entire duration while Success made way for his compatriot Brown Ideye in the 77th minute.

Malaga's next encounter see them battle Deportivo Alaves on May 6.
