Selangor are close to signing Persija Jakarta defender Willian Pacheco, according to Persija director Gede Widiade.

This is revealed by Gede to Indonesian sports portal

"The player (Pacheco) has told this to me. He will be leaving as we could not agree on a deal.

"I am disappointed that he has accepted another team's offer. Pachecho will not be playing for Persija.

"He has definitely received a more lucrative offer from another team. Pacheco is joining Selangor," he was quoted as saying by the portal.

If the report is true, the Brazilian centre back is set to replace Nigerian defender Ugo Ukah, whose contract has not been extended by the Red Giants for the 2018 season.

The 25-year old defender had joined Jakarta in the 2016 season.
