Kariobangi Sharks head coach William Muluya is adamant that his team has a chance of winning the Shield Cup this year.
The team has been making progress in the competition for the past three years, and was unlucky to fall to AFC Leopards in the finals last year. With Ulinzi Stars next for the Sharks, Muluya is hopeful of a good outing and is confident his team has what it takes to grace the finals.
“They, Ulinzi Stars, eliminated us from the competition about three years ago, we have an opportunity of making things better this time round. We need to stay focused and play our hearts out as we did against Gor Mahia. It is not going to be an easy match for sure, but we are determined.
“Yes, we have what it takes to win this competition, we have a chance of making it to the finals and we want to use it,” Muluya told Goal.
Defending champions AFC Leopards will play Sofapaka in the other semi-final.
