Wilfred Ndidi signs new Leicester City deal until 2024

Wilfred Ndidi has signed a new six-year contract at Leicester City to stay until 2024, the Premier League club has confirmed.

Ndidi has developed into one of the English top-flight’s finest midfielders at King Power Stadium since moving to England from Belgian side, Genk.

Last season, the 21-year-old finished the season as the top tackler in the Premier League ahead of N’Golo Kante and Idrissa Gueye.

He was subsequently named the club's Young Player of the Year and played a key role in Nigeria’s failed expedition In Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup.

“I’m very happy to sign this contract with Leicester City,” he told club’s website.

“I have enjoyed every moment of my time with the football club, so I’m thrilled to be here for six more years.

“Together with my team-mates and our wonderful supporters, I hope we can look forward to many more fantastic moments.”
