The race to Russia 2018 Fifa World Cup resumes this weekend across the globe, but in Ghana, the Black Stars will be hosting central Africans Congo in Group E which also house Egypt and Uganda, both of whom Ghana have faced in the previous matchdays, in encounters that ended not so well for the west Africans.
Ghana are currently sitting third in the group with one point, after losing 2-0 to Egypt and recording a goalless draw against Congo. Despite finding themselves in a tight corner, the Black Stars still have a chance to overturn their deficit and move up the table. However, that mission starts with a resounding success at home against Congo as well as a satisfactory outcome in the reverse away fixture, while keeping an eye on the double-header between the two table toppers, excepting one or both to drop points.

HOW CAN FANS GET INVOLVED?
Organisers have called on local supporters to attend the game in huge numbers in order to push the Black Stars to success. Despite a lack of enthusiasm due to Ghana’s low status in the group, officials are confident that a large and lively crowd could help revive the team’s World Cup hopes.
