What next for KPL after SuperSport’s withdrawal?

Kenyan Premier League Limited secretariat have set a date to discuss the way forward following the withdrawal of pay TV broadcaster SuperSport.

After failing to air the 2017 KPL Super Cup match and two rounds of the league, SuperSport pulled the plug on the league managers on Friday to take the country’s football back to the darkness.

KPL chairman Ambrose Rachier has told Goal that they will meet on Tuesday, April 11 to discuss what next for the league as far as broadcasting is concerned.

“We are aware of SuperSports’ decision and we cannot sit back and relax. We have to do something for the good of the game that’s why we are meeting on Tuesday to deliberate on the issue.”

SuperSport have been the Kenyan top flight league media partners for the last ten years.
