Watford vs Manchester United: TV channel, stream, kick-off time, odds & match preview

Manchester United can close the gap on Manchester City - temporarily at least - when they take on Watford at Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening.

Jose Mourinho's side scraped a 1-0 win over Brighton at home on Saturday, but City restored their lead with a hard-earned comeback victory against Huddersfield on Sunday.

Watford will not be a walkover for the Red Devils though, having strung together impressive consecutive wins over West Ham and Newcastle United in their last two matches.

GAME PREVIEW

Manchester United play their second game in three days on Tuesday when they take on Watford and they will be keen to pick up some much-needed momentum ahead of the busy festive period.

Mourinho's men followed up their disappointing Champions League defeat to Basel last week with an unconvincing, fortuitous win over Brighton on Saturday and they will need to show some improvement with matches against Arsenal and Man City looming on the horizon.

While league leaders City have been padding out their goals scored column, United have struggled to find the net with the regularity expected of potential league winners and Mourinho will be hoping that Lukaku in particular can rediscover his early-season form.

The Belgium international has scored just once in his last 10 games for United in all competitions, yet remains the club's top scorer this season. The return of Ibrahimovic may go some way towards alleviating the pressure on Lukaku, but other individuals such as Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford will be expected to step up too.

Arsenal lie in wait for the Red Devils this coming Saturday and they play Man City the following Sunday, so the next two weeks are an absolutely crucial period for their title hopes. With so much riding on the next three games, Mourinho will, no doubt, be demanding a statement of intent against the Hornets.
