Watford have signed Didier Ndong from Sunderland on loan with an option of making the deal permanent in the summer.
The 23-year-old joined the Black Cats for a club record fee of €16 million in August 2016 from French side Lorient.
Prior to his departure, the highly-rated midfielder made 54 appearances for the club and scored once in all competitions.
The club announced the capture of the former Sfaxien player on Wednesday.
“Highly-rated midfielder Didier Ndong has agreed a loan move to Vicarage Road, the Hornets are pleased to confirm,” read a statement on the club’s website.

“The 23-year-old will spend the remainder of the 2017/18 season with Watford, while the club also have the option on a permanent transfer in the summer.”
Ndong could make his debut when Watford welcome Chelsea to the Vicarage Road on February 5.
