The UAE Pro League Committee officially announced that the Arabian Gulf Cup Final between Al Wasl and Al Wahda will be hosted in Dubai at the Rashid Stadium. The stadium holds 8,844 seats and is currently home to Shabab Al Ahli, the team that lost in the semi-final against Al Wasl.
The match will be played on the 29th of March 2018 at 20:30.
It is worth noting that Al Wahda reached the final after an 8-5 aggregate win against Dibba, thanks to a Sebastian Tagliabue hat-trick in the second leg. Al Wasl, on the other hand, defeated Shabab Al Ahli 3-2 on aggregate after a 0-0 draw in the first leg, with an amazing turn around seeing them score a winner in injury time to send fans into frenzy.
This is the most anticipated final in years, as two teams with each of the biggest fanbases in the UAE set to face off.
