Sofapaka overcame a one-goal deficit to force a 2-2 draw with host Nzoia Sugar on Saturday.

Stephen Waruru rescued a point for Sofapaka from a cagy Nzoia Sugar who blew away a goal advantage in the second half to settle for a point against the visitors at the Sudi Stadium

Mohammed Yusuf gave Sofapaka the lead early in the first half, but Collins Wakhungu restored parity for Nzoia immediately after.

Patrick Kwitonda then stretched Nzoia lead with a second goal that saw the home side went to the break with a 2-1 lead.

But the former Ulinzi Stars striker, who was acquired in January, drew the game level two minutes after resumption to bring Batoto Ba Mungu back into the game.

Sofapaka who lost by a solitary goal to Kakamega Homeboyz last time out at the Narok Stadium then held on the game to settle for a point on the road.

Nzoia moved joint 13th with Posta Rangers who have 31 points.
