Sadio Mane is set to resume full first team training after recovering from a knee injury, after being left out of the Liverpool's squad for their tour of Asia.
The injury suffered by the Senegal international in their 3-1 victory over Everton on April 13 saw him miss the rest of last season after his surgery.
And on Tuesday, the Reds' boss Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the 25-year-old will join his colleagues ahead the new season.
''Sadio is on the way back. The plan is he will come with us to Germany,'' Klopp told club website.
''The plan is he trains completely normally with us when we are back in England.
''We have been waiting long enough for him now! He is around [Melwood] all of the time and is in pretty good shape.
''Unfortunately he was not ready to train, but he looked good, [the injury] looks good and so now he should be fine when we get back.''
Liverpool will play Hertha Berlin on the July 29 before taking on German champions Bayern Munich three days later.
