Real Madrid players trust Lopetegui - Isco

Isco believes that the fault for Real Madrid's poor form cannot lie solely on their manager...

Isco Alarcon defended manager Julen Lopetegui as the manager is under pressure after Real Madrid are winless in their last five matches in all competetions.

"If you throw out the coach, you would have to throw out all of us. I have been here for six seasons and we've always known how to bounce back. Every year we're criticised, but those that (criticise) end up with their tail between their legs," said Isco.

"The press do not have the power to get rid of a Madrid coach. We believe fully in what this team can achieve, and the coach [Lopetegui] has full confidence of the players. After that, many things can happen, but I am convinced we can have a very good season."
