K’Ogalo suffered their first defeat on Tuesday when they fell 2-1 against Bandari at Mbaraki Stadium in Mombasa. Omollo now says that the result is a boost to his team ahead of the meeting at the end of the week.
“This is the result that we wanted before facing them, they have at least proved that Gor Mahia is beatable and not otherwise. It is a motivation to my side, I believe we will have a chance to get something from the match, though it will not be that easy. My players have that experience of handling such a game.
“Yes, we have not been playing well this season, but that does not mean it will be the same on Friday,” Omollo told Goal.
The two sides have met thrice already this season; Gor Mahia won the first leg 5-0 before recording a 3-1 win in the Shield Cup quarter-finals tie last month.
