Phar Rangers chief Amponsah unhappy with state of Ghanaian football

Phar Rangers FC president Nana Yaw Amponsah has insisted that Ghana football is not improving following poor decisions by people in high offices.

The second-tier side's bankroller believes football administrators pay unnecessary amounts to people to 'manipulate' matches which has seen the game facing a lot of problems.

"I will compare the state of Ghana football to the sickness called stroke," Amponsah told Happy FM.

"I compare it with stroke because some parts section of the sport are still not functioning properly as expected by Ghanaians.

"No comment [about referees roles in this problems] but some of us [administrators] are making some people rich, and we need to change our attitudes.

"We've forgotten that the people we're using against our colleagues during games are the same people who they're using against us, so at the end of the day we are like pawns in their hands because they're rather making money off us. I used us because I'm part of the system and all is not working with the football we're practicing here," he added.

Phar Rangers avoided relegation last season after finishing 12th on the log.
