Bucs are keen to revive their PSL title hopes with a win over Usuthu which would see them snap their six-match winless run in all competitions

A wounded Orlando Pirates side will face off with AmaZulu FC in a Premier Soccer League (PSL) match at the Orlando Stadium on Saturday.

The Buccaneers' 15-match unbeaten run in the league came to an end when they succumbed to a narrow 1-0 defeat to SuperSport United away in midweek.

The defeat saw Bucs remain third on the league standings - four points behind log leaders, Bidvest Wits, who are scheduled to face second-placed Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.

Squad & Team News

Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic will be desperate to lead his side to a victory which would take his side to second spot if the result between Wits and Sundowns go their way.

However, the Serbian coach will have to do it without his captain Happy Jele, who is set to serve his suspension against Usuthu.

Micho will be hoping that his key forwards Justin Shonga, Vincent Pule and Thembinkosi Lorch regain their scoring form with the team having struggled in front of goal in recent times.

The four-time PSL champions have netted only one goal in their last four matches in all competitions.

Meanwhile, AmaZulu are an improving team having secured their second successive league win when they defeated Cape Town City 1-0 at home a fortnight ago.

As a result, Usuthu are placed 11th on the league standings - two points behind ninth-placed Highlands Park with 10 matches left.

Cavin Johnson will be looking to mastermind a victory over Bucs which would see his side move closer to the top eight.

The KwaZulu-Natal giants have no players nor technical team members on this weekend's PSL suspension list.

South African coach Johnson will be banking on Usuthu's defence which has kept two consecutive clean sheets with Tapelo Nyongo marshalling the backline.

The 23-year-old defender also proved that he is deadly from set-pieces as he scored with a thunderous free-kick against Cape Town City.
