Emmanuel Emenike was on the scoresheet on his return from injury in Olympiacos’ 3-0 victory over Acharnaikos in the Greek Cup.

The forward suffered a muscle injury at the beginning of October but recovered on time to help the Karaiskakis Stadium outfit to secure victory.

Guillaume Gillet got the curtain raiser nine minutes after the kick-off of the game to register his first goal of the season.

Andre Martins then increased the lead for Takis Lemonis’s side in the 48th minute of the clash before Emenike put the icing on the cake at the death to earn them a place in the next round of the competition.

The Nigeria international has now scored four goals since joining the Greek side from Fenerbahce in the summer.

Emenike will look to continue with this impressive display when Olympiacos travel to Apostolos Nikolaidis Stadium to confront Panathinaikos on Saturday in the Super League outing.
