NSL: Western Stima lose top spot after away draw

Western Stima gave up National Super League top spot to Ushuru FC as the second leg got underway over the weekend.

This is courtesy of a 0-0 stalemate against Modern Coast Rangers in a match played on Sunday, June 17, 2018, at Mbaraki Sports Club. Ushuru is consequently ranked first in the 19-team league with 38 points from 19 matches, a point above Stima.

Nakuru All-Stars, meanwhile, caught up with GFE 105 following a 3-0 win over Isibania at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru. A brace by John Njuguna, coupled with a goal by Teddy Siwa saw All-Stars take home all three points for only the third time this season.

Two matches pitting Coast Stima against Green Commandos and FC Talanta against Kenya Police failed to kick-off. Green Commandos did not travel to Mombasa for their match that had been scheduled for Mbaraki Sports Club. Coast Stima were consequently awarded all three points.

FC Talanta, on the other hand, failed to secure a venue in time for their match against Police, thus surrendering all three points to the law enforcers.
