Nigeria U20 arrive in Alexandria for Egypt friendlies

The Flying Eagles have landed safely in the north African city ahead of their warm-up games against the Young Pharaohs

Nigeria U20 are now in Alexandria ahead of their friendly matches against the Egyptian U20 side.

After a four-hour flight from Kano, the team settled down for business ahead of the double-header warm up.

First, Paul Aigbogun will face the north Africans on Monday at the Borg El-Arab Stadium. And on Wednesday, they slug it out again at the same venue.

Meanwhile, coach Aigbogun has picked Ikouwen Utin as team captain. Utin represented Nigeria B at the 2018 African Nations Championship.

The Flying Eagles are preparing to play the winner between Sierra Leone and Guinea Bissau in the second round of the 2019 Africa U20 Cup of Nations qualification in May.

The Egyptians will square up against Senegal’s Junior Lions of the Teranga for a place in the final qualifying campaign.
